RL Rayne has lived on the east coast of the United States their whole life. With a fascination for archeology, history, religion, and all things involving the human spirit and mind from a young age, Rayne has spent the better part of twenty years studying and honing their craft by studying medieval history, military strategies, and sociological perspectives of various cultures. In doing so, she believes she is able to bring to the fantasy genre many real world issues that everyone can relate to in one form or another.
Since the age of ten, Rayne has had a love of writing and reading with an additional voracious appetite for fantasy and medieval tales. The works of Tolkien, George RR Martin, and Stephen King were major inspirations and kept Rayne enthralled in both the genres of fantasy and horror. It is this fascination that led Rayne to write a series of short stories and now a fully published novel, Mægrus: Rise of Rebels, the first in a multipart series.
When not writing at her desk, Rayne enjoys drawing, singing, and hiking through the many mountainous trails of the east cost.
